I would say that the best thing about this bar is the location - literally right across the street from the beach. There are also 3 "levels". The top level is a sun deck that overlooks the beach. It was nice to bring our drinks upstairs and watch the waves and feel the beach breeze! Unfortunately, they don't serve any food, but the bartenders were friendly and helpful. There is a room to the side of the main bar area that has a pool table, beer pong table, darts, and a few other games, which sets this bar apart from your average "sit and drink" bar.

This bar is just about as Irish as I am; they serve Magners, but that's about the only Irish thing you are going to get out of this place. Really, McSorley's is your typical beach bar. Kind of divey with loud music and lots of people, a young crowd and "rooftop" dance floor, I guess by beach bar standards it meets all the marks. I wouldn't say drinks are necessarily cheap or as cheap as they should be. I bought a round of 4 shots (house tequila pops) for $36. 9 bucks for a shot that is half tequila/ half tonic.. yeah pretty steep, and/or I got ripped the f* off. The good thing about McSorelys is that it has a pretty upbeat party vibe. The bad thing is that if you want to hit multiple bars, there is really not much in walking distance so McSorely's would be your solitary destination of the night unless you want to motor it. Its a casual place so no need to dress up or get fancy, and girls, you might want to skip the stripper heels because there are stairs a plenty and busting your ass never looks cute on anyone. holla.

The lounge area is great for networking and meetup kocation. The rooftop is beautiful and perfect for romantic moments or social event overlooking the beauty of fort lauderdale beaches. Inside is nice as well but limited space can pose a problem based on amount people. Bartenders are very friendly and creative with the mixers. You will find difficulty with parking. The assigned parking is limited on space.

Best beach bar I've been to. The bartender Carley is awesome and fun to hangout with. She is good at what she does and can make ANY drink you want. The first floor feels 'dive-ish' but you quickly realize it is a very nice clean establishment. The roof top bar is more modern and upscale with a club feel. I feel like you can never go wrong with a place the locals frequent and this in what McSorley's is. I was here for my wedding / honeymoon and met many locals who all offered congratulations and bought our drinks. This is a place we will never forget. My wife and I plan trips back to Fort Lauderdale every year for our anniversary and will keep coming here to hangout with our new friends.

Not sure what is happening with this place. The McSorley's sign is gone and it seems to be more of a night club on all three floors. They have bouncers at the front and back entrances checking id's and making sure you empty out any drink you have before entering. Great music playing throughout. All three floors were packed the night we went. The stairs are out front to be able to go upstairs.

Second time at this spot...very chill like last time. Bartenderbis friendly and accommodating. Non-smoking, which I appreciate. Quiet, unassuming spot for a cocktail on the beach.

This place is absolutely awesome! College style beach bar downstairs with Irish flair! Beer pong tables, and a friendly staff! At night..... The upstairs is the best part with a two story dance club! The top floor is open air overlooking the beach!!! Amazing!!!

Mcsorely's is a good bar on the beach with 3 levels (although it's more like 2 1/2). It has a nice atmosphere with a great selection of drinks and a few taps on draft. The main bar (which is also the biggest of three) is on the first level and seems to be staffed by 1-3 bartenders depending on how busy things are. There's a nice large area towards the back/left of the bar where you can play beer pong or pool. To get to the upper levels, you need to go back out the main entrance, into their small patio area and head through the door to the left (if you are facing the building) and up the stairs. There is another bar on this level and room to get your dance on if that's your thing. Head outside again, up another shorter flight of stairs and your on the rooftop which is pretty awesome with a nice view of the ocean. On this floor you'll find the last bar. Although this is an excellent place to cool down after a day at the beach there are a few things to know. One is that they don't serve any food. A downer if you like to munch on mozzarella sticks or onion rings while you drink. Have no fear as there are many businesses in the area that serve food and you can enjoy it with your drink. The other negative is that when you check-in through yelp you can get a free shot. However, you must write a review to get this shot therefore manipulating the yelp rating system.

Good outdoor seating, have their own amberbock beer that's pretty decent as well as some really good microbeer bottles. Happy hour 4-7 M-F as well - 2 for 1's, and Tuesday 7-2am 2 for 1 craft beers! Nice chill spot, good music level.

I really liked this place following my first visit. The lower portion reminds me of the corner bars up in Milwaukee. It's important to note that northern cities, in general, have neighborhood 'dive' bars where everyone knows everyone. Friendly. Sports on the TV's. Good conversation. I stopped in on Memorial Day at around 1 p.m., and a host of baseball games were on, including my Brewers. I struck up good sports conversations with some of the 'regulars' as I consumed Yeunglings on tap. They have a limited selection of tap beers, which is perfectly fine. A larger selection of tap beers would not suit this place as it may attract pretentious a-holes, like myself. Ha. Yeah, I admit it. I'm a beer snob, but I'm a logical, reasonable beer snob who will not turn down a Bud Light or Miller Lite in the spirit of having a good time. They have an upstairs, too, but I learned in talking with the folks here that they open it up Thursday to Sunday. In reading some previous reviews the roof portion caters to a younger, more enthusiastic crowd, which may not be up my alley, per se. No food here, but you can order some pizza from next store, and bring it on in. This place has three or four places nearby where you can order food. You can also grab some seats outdoors and people-watch on A1A. Some terrific views of Fort Lauderdale Beach. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

This was a nice surprise on my trip to Ft. Lauderdale; I loved the atmosphere but it wasn't really an Irish bar. No biggie. They had different floors; We ended up on the second floor most of the time where they had a dance area. The "dance floor" is surrounded by screens more like a club type of scene. There's a VJ that did a great job of putting current top 20 music blended with some classics. The first floor was kind of dive-y and more of a bar top kind of crowd and there's also a 3rd floor that I didn't visit but I believe is a rooftop lounge style. There's no food or specials. This is a great spot to visit after the beach

They have renovated it and put a second story in. Have projection big flat screen TVs and an open section upstairs with the dance floor definitely way better than it used to be.

Came here on a whim because we wanted a second floor bar on the beach. We walked upstairs and were immediately greeted and served. The bartender, Mike, was not only the best bartender we have ever had, but his personality and enthusiasm changed him from friendly bartender to friend. It's a great location and bar, but Mike made our entire night. We will be back because our experience was beyond excellent. Thank you, Mike.

wonderful space, fun staff, best beer selection I've seen in since I've been here (I'm a massive beer snob), and a great crowd of people of all ages. definitely my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale. love it!!!! check this place out if you are visiting.

Patron beware of the inflated rating seen on yelp. This place offers "free shots" if you write a good yelp review. Just like the rating, however, the staff and owners have inflated egos as well. Downstairs bartenders on 12/05 were lovely and one jolly owner with a big smile actually greeted my party and I as we ordered our first drinks. Stay there because it only gets worse as you venture upwards. The bartenders on the roof were rude, avoided me, and pour weak drinks in tiny plastic cups for way too much money. Then the bouncer actually grabbed me and threw me out for doing absolutely nothing. He claimed I wrote a bad review on yelp (as if that's grounds for anything to begin with) and I refused to acknowledge it because at the time I had done no such thing (see time stamp on this review and my so easy to distinguish yelp picture). I was embarrassed in front of my party, that consisted of my boss and coworkers. Then when I asked to speak to the owner to let him know what happened, a different gentleman approached me and argued with me that my story kept changing and no that's not what happened, etc etc. Soon the whole gang was down there making up stories. I wasn't even asking for anything, I just wanted to let the owner know that something was amiss. Thanks guys, wih the plethora of bar choices out there, my party and I will surely never be back!

Paying $13 for the worst gin martini with a lemon twist I've had in a long time served by someone who wasn't really friendly wasn't my thing. Only thing this place has going for it is the location I guess.

Went 2 weekends ago for the Gator Game around 7 pm. We soon learned at 8 pm it's $20 all you can drink. We ordered in dinner from Primanti Brothers and slapped on BOTH of our game faces!!!!! Never fear we weren't driving we cabbed it, we ain't novices here! Had a great time! Additionally, had one of the BEST bartenders I have had in a very long time, his name was MIKE. Man did he rock. We told him we wanted to run across the street and get some food, he had the menu behind the bar, let us view it, and even called to place our order for us! What great service. You all should make him the manager he's awesome!

What a gem! This place was conveniently located directly next to the hotel my wife and I were staying at for the weekend--what luck! We wandered over on a Saturday evening at about 10 and were glad we did. This place stands out on many fronts, but above all it's relaxing and unpretentious atmosphere that so often clutters the other bars in the area. It's other attributes have to include the layout of the building itself. The first floor is a cozy room with a wrap-around bar that is more conducive to having a drink and enjoying a conversation while watching some sports. Then you go upstairs, where things instantly shift gears as the lighting changes to more of a club-scene and the DJ is pumping out a fantastic mix of old school hop hop along with today's hits. Wander to the opposite end of the room and out the patio door and this is where this place really shines. The breeze is coming off the ocean, which is directly across the street. There is a fantastic open area with high-top tables and bar stools along with an outdoor bar. The same great music is playing, often with the accompanying music video on a number of projectors--a nice touch especially for the 90's hip hop. Prices are decent and the staff was great. My only knock is that the beers all tasted off, and I had a few different ones. Some tasted like they changed kegs to totally different beers without flushing the lines out first, while others were just under carbonated. But this shouldn't stop you from coming. I would drink mud just to enjoy the outdoor rooftop bar again. (Well, maybe not literally, but you get it) My wife and I are already planning our next trip back to Fort Lauderdale Beach, largely to revisit this place. Wish it was closer to home! Enjoy.

Wooooooaaaahhhhh!!! WTH happened?!?!? ITS TOO LOUD UPSTAIRS NOW!!! WHAT??? NO I DONT WANT TO GO LOOK AT IGUANAS WITH YOU! Otherwise it's a nice place. Good drinks and a nice view from the rooftop bar. Turn down the volume on chill slow nights please.

    (2)
  • Brian G.

Decent bar to hang out in (on the patio if you can and enjoy the view) and enjoy a brew. Nothing special but very close to the beach. On a Saturday night the music was just too damn loud inside!!!

    (3)
  • Patty W.

Nuts. I was not planning on coming here and I'm glad I did last night. This place rocks with alcohol and more alcohol. It's a laid back place with lots of things to look at and to sit back to have a couple drinks with friends. However, I did not realize that it had 3 floors to check out. Maybe next time ;)

Great little place to end the night at. It wasn't too busy when we got here ... lucked out and got parking on the side street and walked in through the back door. The bartender was super cool and she was right on top of our drinks and never had to wait. Tip: grab a slice of pizza on your way out ... it's just across the street!!!

I went to McSorley's with a group of 10 girls for a bachelorette party this past Saturday. The establishment itself was pretty good and my crew was having lots of fun on the roof deck... clearly the life of the party and the ONLY people dancing! HOWEVER, we made a simple song request to the less than average DJ and he REFUSED to play the song! Even the bachelorette asked nicely and he still wouldn't play it! It was rude and completely unnecessary that he could not entertain our request to play a 4 minute song... I understand this is barely something to complain about or worth the 2 minutes it is taking to even write this review.... UNTIL I heard him say that he was going to play the song just as we were leaving to despite us. I think this bullheaded, sorry excuse for a DJ needs to tuck in his worthless pride, realize that he is not special and take a mini lesson in the nightlife biz which is... when the chicks at the club are dancing and having fun... everyone is having fun! Next time, Lame DJ boy... just accommodate your audience and play the stupid song!!! Selfish!

Came here on St. Patty'd day and it was a blast. Love this place because you can drink on the roof and stare at the ocean. Definitely will bring friends here when they come down to visit!

Bartenders are rude. I come here quite often and bartenders are still rude everytime. Recently went here on a Friday night, ordered a $8 cocktail, gave the bartender a $10 bill. The female bartender that night assumed I didn't want any change and put my change right in her tip jar! I was PISSED.

This is like a step back into college life...ooooh Beer Pong! I went here for the Battle of the Sexes party for Valentines- Hot Ladies vs the Men, er um, boys in all the frothy beer-drinking games: Flip Cup, Football Toss, Beer Pong, Corn Hole, Pool, Shuffleboard and Darts- My teammate and I chose "Get Lucky" as our name, thinking this was the only way we were going to win, but we Dominated at Football toss!-Flip Cup.....eh, not so much Moving onto Beer Pong, we realized that tossing a Ping Pong ball into half-full (not half empty) cups of beer requires much skill and finesse, that which we definitely need to develop, but it still allowed us to be proud of our efforts and Team Get Lucky only got lucky at drinking the most beer in the shortest amount of time possible. (Was this game rigged?!) So they have these and more---Pool, basketball, Shuffleboard and a few other leisure drinking activities readily available on any given day, and if I'm in the area again I'll stop by and take my chances at another round of Beer Pong.....So much for Flip Cup. I could never get it to flip-bah, who needs flip cup anyways! The only thing...I guess they were doing some renovation of some sort, so it was a little dusty and there were bricks and woodbeams around-Not a good idea to have around drunk people. It was fun, the place is right on the strip, decent drink specials, and parking is free in a nearby lot. For a casual hangout, it's a great stop! I liiiiiike.

Three tier bar. Typical Irish bar downstairs. Upstairs hosts a lounge area, outdoor area with mini bar then top level has the dance floor. I went there on a Friday night and it was loud but had a great time on the second level with the mini outdoor bar to ourselves. Our bartender was excellent!! I will definitely go back if he is working.

Went in the day time while at the beach. Fast service, friendly customer service and awesome drinks. What more do you want from a pub?

  • Brian A.

The ONLY reason this gets a 4 star and not a 5 star is because my nights here turn into drunken disasters and it is so much fun. Friday night 8-10PM all you can drink (the good stuff) for $20.00 on the rooftop bar. How can you go wrong?!? You get drunk... fast. And its awesome. I suggest you somehow find a way to pace yourself... or if you can't make sure you have a good friend to take you home or a local couch to crash on! The best part! After you are sufficiently drunk you can walk right across the street to Primanti Bros!

Great bar in a great location that plays great music and produces exceedingly great times with new great friends. Yes, greatness is here, and so are the Irish Car Bombs. Celebrate being there. This is where the locals go for beach side brews and from what I've heard, good eats too.

This is THE place to be any time of day or night. We came here to watch Sunday football and NASCAR. We had a blast! Carley, our bartender, was incredible! The bar is very clean and we got a chance to meet the owner! We came back on Monday night just because the service was incredible and the drinks were great. We will come back here every single time we visit Fort Lauderdale. Thank you Simon and Carley!

Incredible upscale lounge and rooftop over looking the beach! Friday night is crazy! They have an awesome all you can drink special! Downstairs is a great casual beach bar with drink specials and an awesome jukebox! It's where the locals go!

Good music, nice vibe. Heaps of seating. If you're from New York or Boston, I'm sure you'll agree that this is an Irish pub like Domino's Pizza is an Italian restaurant.

  • Jessica S.

Once again, I had an amazing time here on Saturday night.... It was a bit crowded for my liking, but how can I blame people for wanting to party here..... The staff was awesome...Especially Nicole(hot bartender upstairs)!!!! The DJ was great too!!! SO MUCH FUN!!

    (4)
  • Jessica H.

Exactly what it says on the tin. A small no-nonsense sea and Irish themed bar across the road from the ocean. We went on a Wednesday night, and we greeted by the barman from Wicklow and a load of locals. The game room looked awesome, beer pong, foosball an tabletop shuffleboard. And they had Carlsberg and Sierra Nevada on tap!

This might be trouble! Introduced to a new place and bonus points for being close to Downtown Ft. Laudy. It is located right across the beach. You can feel the breeze. 3 floors to hangout at. Outside sitting area in the entrance. There is no cover charge. They have a special on Fridays to buy a bracelet for all you can drink Imported for $20 or Domestic for $10. Too bad I am not much of a beer drinker. They need to make a special for cocktail drinks :). On the second level they have a bar with a few TVs and music. My favorite section was the rooftop area. The DJ was playing all the new music and a large bar area outside. The only thing that sucks was parking!!! $10 to park for an hour or 2.. A bit to pricey. Overall, It was definitely a cool new place to checkout. Will definitely have to introduce some of my friends to this place.

    (4)
  • Greshka P.

Thank you Yelp for letting me know about this place. No cover charge, casual, happy hour 'til 7 (I think). Fridays all you can drink Imported for $20 or Domestic for $10 from 8pm- 10pm. Too bad this only includes beers. They have outside seating downstairs, a bar upstairs, where they were playing 80's and 90's music videos, plus the Heat game. Walk outside and you'll find yourself at the 'rooftop'. Nice ocean breeze, good crowd, DJ out here plays more current music, with another bar. Parking is a bit of a hassle though. If you don't find meter parking, it's $10 for the garage (ouch). Still, worth coming - had a great time. Can see myself coming here again.

Great view and awesome drinking spot. Just a great place to drink some suds and watch the world turn. I love the rooftop bar with it's killer view. Was here for St. Paddy's Day and this place was rocking. The DJ was playing a mix of old and new tunes and everyone was having a blast. They remodeled parts of this place as mentioned in another review. The second floor and roof top have a club feel to it. This place definitely is a younger persons hang out. My wife started laughing because she felt very old watching all the twenty somethings partying and having a good time. I have to admit I felt old too, but I didn't give a $hit as we plopped down right in the middle of the chaos, see pic. I even convinced the DJ to play some old School U2 ( Sunday Bloody Sunday) which the crowd seemed to enjoy. Just a great place to hang out and with Primanti Bros only one block to the north how can you go wrong. Remember to tell the Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

Last night's Ladies Night was outstanding! One of the few times I can remember there being a lot more women than men a in bar! Now that the humidity is going (SLOWLY) away, I shall enjoy their rooftop sun / moondeck more often. It was breezy, easy, sweet up there last night, with an awesome view of the ocean! Good times!

Super cool staff, and essentially a beach pub masquerading as a (sort of) Irish bar. They're very sweet here, and that definitely counts for something, and when I wandered in recently I can't argue that the folks here were anything but hospitable. I guess on some level my malcontent comes from the fact that most of the beach bars in this town, this one included, tend to assume that no one could possibly under any circumstances yearn for anything far outside of the Corona pantheon of adult bevies, so here I was, drawing on a series of average beers, when I really figured that I'd be able to find my way to at least a half and half or the odd Smithwick's or Harp or whatever. There's a diminutive but very clean patio outside, and if you catch em like I did they'll come out and check on you which is very cool. Lots of local clientele, and super laid back. And hey, literally less than 100 yards from the beach. So lots to like here. But as much as I liked McSorley's, I'd love to love it. And I'm not there yet.

A fellow patron asked for the bartender to turn on a hockey game. The bartender, a larger bald man with a salt and pepper beard, says to another waitress, "I can't believe we pay for the ****ing NHL package". I, being from Detroit, said that us northerners appreciate it. He told me that we should stay in the ****ing north. I really enjoyed the pub until the ignorant guy showed up. Such a shame. Luckily we paid our tab with the previous waitress and we were able to leave.

On the weekends the rooftop deck is good times. Great dj with lounge lighting, and a nice ocean breeze. I've actually enjoyed some good people watching on this roof. The bar downstairs has a dive feel but the bar upstairs is more trendy and the rooftop is the best!

Looking for a traditional pub to quench your thirst? Count on McSorely's. I inquired with the bar tend if this was related to the "real" McSorely's in Manhattan. He explained that they "have a relationship with them". Not sure what that means.. perhaps just by name?? Large bar on first floor. My friend and I kept noticing the ladies walking in and then somewhere disappearing. That is when we found the roof top bar area :)

I went in last Thursday night and had an amazing night. The drinks are inexpensive, the bar staff was friendly and attractive, and the music was amazing. They were even playing music videos on all the flat screens around the bar. I really like the sun deck on the 3rd floor, especially when the weather is nice.

a few months ago McSorley's this woulda been a 6 star review but what we used to love about this spot is no more... This used to be our Sunday Funday spot, but since they got rid of all the fun stuff, it's just a regular bar. The staff is still super friendly, the crowd is still a good one, but the "fun" has been removed. Beer pong tables, gone. Table shuffleboard, gone. Basketball, gone. Punching game, gone. They have transformed the space to accommodate their night time crowd, adding another service bar and a stage, which I guess makes more sense from a profit standpoint, but for those of us who used to go hit this spot as part of our beach day- it's sad. I'm sure McSorley's at night is a great spot though. One other thing that kinda sucks now too is the parking situation- the new B hotel took over the lot you used to be able to park in.

Cold brews, Jameson whiskey and a two man band late late into a chilly January Sunday night playing Pearl Jam, Kings of Leon and other rock songs that brought me back to my Stone Temple Pilot days. I met some cool transplants from NJ hanging out in here, and we all had a good time and hit it off.

i want to move to ft. lauderdale, just so i can go to mcsorley's every weekend! what a good party spot!! first floor of the pub is a big dark bar with windows that face out to the beach... there's a patio out front with plenty of seating... they've got videos projected onto the walls that match what you're listening to... loved that... great music mixes... the dj plays everything... queen, red hot chili peppers, flo rida... little bit of everything.... awesome! if you find yourself nostalgic for a frat party kinda place, there's a back room on the first floor with a pool table, some beer pong tables, and an arcade boxing game... the second floor is like a little lounge... there's dance floor with lasers and lights and a snazzy lookin bar... that takes you out to another little outside space, which leads to a 2nd and a half floor.... the rooftop has a cool bar towards the back wall... there's another projection of the music video's on of the walls up here, and it's nice and breezy, because you're right on the water.... just a hop skip and a jump away from pizza, karaoke bars, etc... like i said, i'd go back to this bar every week if it weren't so far... then again, you can always valet your car for $10 and crash in the sand!

If you are looking for a crowded spot with good people - this place fits the bill. We went on Saturday for Karaoke and we had a good mix of locals and tourists - and all of them seemed to be there to have a good time. The karaoke host was fair and firm with all of the patrons and our group had a great time. Be warned though - they are doing some major construction on the road right next door - be careful stumbling home! ;)

  • Edward D.

Great place to take a date if she's a fun girl who doesn't take herself too seriously. The games they have MAKE this place. Shuffle board is the best and a good way to meet new people. Beer pong is a classic and a nice flash back from college, especially if you own the table. The punching meter = entertainment, strait up. True it's a little bit dark/musty and can be crowded too but the games more than make up for it. Make sure and stop by The famous Primanti Bros. next door either before or after. And if you drink enough, cross the street and take the party to the beach!

2.5 stars. The only thing that makes this place different from your average beach bar is that it's also an Irish pub. Although it shares the same name as the oldest bar in NYC, it is UNaffiliated with it. (Imposter!) However, it does sell McSorley's Ale on tap, which is actually the "light ale" served at the real McSorley's. The bar is beautiful solid wood, and there are plenty of flat screen TVs encircling it. It somehow pulls off a neighborhood bar feel -- probably because there's never a ton of people in it. They stopped serving food here a couple of years ago, so there's really no reason for me to go here. I'd rather go the same distance to 101 Ocean in Lauderdale by the Sea to watch a game.

An Irish bar with a rooftop bar on the Fort Lauderdale strip! 'Nuff said. Seriously, this is a great area bar that recently got even better by expanding into the old Banana Joe's next door and taking over their old roof-top bar. The decor is excellent, the owners brick walled the whole place which makes it look really classy compared to the original McSorley's next door. The rooftop bar is excellent - the sound system runs throughout and the lighting is great - nice subtle lighting which is not too bright as to where it does not bleed out the beautiful night sky and view. The bar features great karaoke on Saturday nights and has a beer pong table, among other games. Be prepared to see and meet new people - this place gets packed!

This neighborhood style Irish pub is a great place to play a game or to meet new people because the games(foos, shuffleboard, punch out, flip cup, beer pong) are relatively close to one another (unlike Blondies) and the bar is pretty cramped. The crowd is a great mix of WAKA kickballers, random groups of people that would be downtown but don't want to deal with it, foosball afficionados, and old salts. They have Blue Moon, Killian's, Stella, McSorley's and other decent beers on tap.

The bar downstairs has a dive feel but the bar upstairs is more trendy and the rooftop is the best!

a few months ago McSorley's this woulda been a 6 star review but what we used to love about this spot is no more...

I went in last Thursday night and had an amazing night. The drinks are inexpensive, the bar staff was friendly and attractive, and the music was amazing. They were even playing music videos on all the flat screens around the bar. I really like the sun deck on the 3rd floor, especially when the weather is nice.

Enjoy.

Decent bar to hang out in (on the patio if you can and enjoy the view) and enjoy a brew. Nothing special but very close to the beach. On a Saturday night the music was just too damn loud inside!!!

  • Sara M.

  • Dusty R.

    (5)
  • Sherry W.

    (3)
  • Tamara Y.

Great atmosphere on all THREE levels! Great music and cute bar tenders. So,... what are you don't tonight?

    (5)

Three tier bar. Typical Irish bar downstairs. Upstairs hosts a lounge area, outdoor area with mini bar then top level has the dance floor. I went there on a Friday night and it was loud but had a great time on the second level with the mini outdoor bar to ourselves. Our bartender was excellent!! I will definitely go back if he is working.

And I'm not there yet.

i want to move to ft. lauderdale, just so i can go to mcsorley's every weekend! what a good party spot!! first floor of the pub is a big dark bar with windows that face out to the beach... there's a patio out front with plenty of seating... they've got videos projected onto the walls that match what you're listening to... loved that... great music mixes... the dj plays everything... queen, red hot chili peppers, flo rida... little bit of everything.... awesome! if you find yourself nostalgic for a frat party kinda place, there's a back room on the first floor with a pool table, some beer pong tables, and an arcade boxing game... the second floor is like a little lounge... there's dance floor with lasers and lights and a snazzy lookin bar... that takes you out to another little outside space, which leads to a 2nd and a half floor.... the rooftop has a cool bar towards the back wall... there's another projection of the music video's on of the walls up here, and it's nice and breezy, because you're right on the water.... just a hop skip and a jump away from pizza, karaoke bars, etc... like i said, i'd go back to this bar every week if it weren't so far... then again, you can always valet your car for $10 and crash in the sand!

If you are looking for a crowded spot with good people - this place fits the bill. We went on Saturday for Karaoke and we had a good mix of locals and tourists - and all of them seemed to be there to have a good time. The karaoke host was fair and firm with all of the patrons and our group had a great time. Be warned though - they are doing some major construction on the road right next door - be careful stumbling home! ;)

One of my favorite beach bars in Broward. Love the games they have Guiness on tap and the people are always cool.

Great location right on the beach. Drinks were reasonably priced. Way too loud to have a conversation!! Band was playing and I couldn't hear a word the person next to me was saying.
